I've wanted to work for National Geographic since I was about 10
(a dream I've since realized is a long shot...but still a drea). A native of upstate NY, I postponed college for some years here and there along the way, sometimes doing boring things like working, sometimes doing fun things like collecting spiders in the Amazon. I started school in a fine arts program in NY, and ended in a journalism program at the University of Florida. Since then, I've had a couple internships and spent several months getting lost and smelly in India. I'm still very naively fixed on the idea of changing the world, though don't ask me how.
